{"id":11205,"date":"2022-04-08T19:49:16","date_gmt":"2022-04-09T00:49:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/?p=11205"},"modified":"2022-04-08T19:49:16","modified_gmt":"2022-04-09T00:49:16","slug":"children-and-youth-religious-education-10-april-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/2022\/04\/08\/children-and-youth-religious-education-10-april-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Children and Youth Religious Education (10 April 2022)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/FivePillarsRE-AllSouls.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4667 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/FivePillarsRE-AllSouls-272x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"272\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/FivePillarsRE-AllSouls-272x300.jpg 272w, https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/FivePillarsRE-AllSouls.jpg 354w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 272px) 85vw, 272px\" \/><\/a>On this Sunday (10 April 2022), children and youth religious education classes will resume in person and will happen during our 11:00 AM worship service.<\/p>\n<p>We will resume our pre-COVID practice where the children and youth will join us in the sanctuary for the first 15-20 minutes and then we will sing them out to their classes.<\/p>\n<p>If your child does not want to go to class, that is also OK &#8212; our services are welcoming for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>We will be starting out initially with two classes grouped by age \/ grade:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elementary &#8211; Pre-K &#8211; 5th Grade<\/strong> (Teachers:\u00a0 Ashford McLain and Kevin Henry) &#8212; Our theme is &#8220;Peace, Social Justice, and the Interdependent Web.&#8221;\u00a0 This week the group will continue to welcome newcomers, plan future service projects, and work on their current one (cleaning up the church grounds in front of the building).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Middle and High School<\/strong> (Teachers:\u00a0 Ken Peterson and Eric First) &#8212; The group has made an initial plan for changes and additions to the classroom mural, and will meet with an artist on 10 April 2022 to further solidify those plans.\u00a0 Meanwhile, input into the ongoing creative process is welcome and appreciated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong> &#8212; We have not yet brought back nursery care for our littlest members and visitors who cannot yet be vaccinated for COVID.\u00a0 However, babies and toddlers are welcome to stay with their parents in the sanctuary.\u00a0 We are very understanding about baby sounds in worship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On this Sunday (10 April 2022), children and youth religious education classes will resume in person and will happen during our 11:00 AM worship service.
