\"\"<\/a>Please join us this Sunday (18 September 2022) at 11:00 AM for our annual Homecoming Service with Rev. Barbara Jarrell.<\/p>\n

We will recognize member milestones and include a memorial tribute to those we’ve lost since our last in-person homecoming.<\/p>\n

We will also have a blessing of the backpacks for all ages.\u00a0 Kids and grownups — bring your backpacks, purses, sports bags, dance bags, briefcases, diaper bags — all the things in which you carry the necessities of life — to receive a blessing.\u00a0 And for our children and youth a special gift to attach to it.<\/p>\n

We will be meeting in the sanctuary for this worship service.\u00a0 Please join us in person at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 9449 Ellerbe Road, Shreveport LA\u00a0 71106<\/a>\u00a0if you are able to do so.<\/p>\n

Our service will also be livestreamed on Facebook Live here if you cannot attend in person<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the service, we will have a potluck celebration and games for some multigenerational fun. \u00a0Email Amanda Lawrence<\/a> or text her at 318-402-3314<\/a> if you can help with setup or cleanup for the potluck.<\/p>\n

Although the number of new COVID cases and hospitalizations has increased<\/a> in the Shreveport metro area, we are still safe to have to in-person worship at this time.<\/p>\n

We no longer require proof of vaccination against COVID for all attendees ages 11 and up for indoor events.<\/p>\n

However, we do strongly encourage that anyone attending our worship services or other indoor events at All Souls be vaccinated against COVID.<\/p>\n

We are also required the wearing of masks for all in-person attendees for all indoor events.<\/p>\n

Religious education classes for children and youth resumes this Sunday as well.\u00a0 The children and youth will be with us for the first 15-20 minutes of the worship service before we sing them out to their classes.<\/p>\n

Our September 2022 give-away-the-plate recipient is Highland Center Ministries<\/a>.<\/p>\n
