This is a documentary film inspired by the book Slave State:\u00a0 Evidence of Apartheid in America<\/em><\/a> by Curtis Ray Davis II<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church is honored to host a screening of this documentary film.\u00a0 This is an encore screening for those who could not attend our live audience screening last Saturday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is Policy Films<\/a> first film of this length — produced in collaboration with the non-profit organization Decarcerate Louisiana<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The documentary highlights the grassroots movement by Decarcerate Louisiana to sponsor Louisiana legislation to remove slavery from the state constitution with the help of State Rep. Edmond Jordan of District 29<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Come and learn how slavery still exists in Louisiana along with the importance of voting yes<\/strong> on Amendment 7<\/a> on 8 November 2022 to abolish slavery in our state.<\/p>\n
