<\/a><\/p>\nIt’s the format for one of the world’s most popular game shows and it’s also the way that we Unitarian Universalists often look at the Big Questions before us — with even more questions.<\/p>\n
At this turning of the year — closest to Samhain, All Hallows Eve, and All Souls Day — it is appropriate to turn our thoughts to those who came before us . . . our own ancestors and also the ancestors of our faith (“prophetic people whose words and deeds challenge us to confront powers and structures of evil with justice, compassion, and the transforming power of love”).<\/p>\n
One of them will even join us from the 16th century to tell us his story.<\/p>\n
All ages will be with us for this interactive multigenerational service.<\/p>\n
We will be meeting in the sanctuary for this worship service.\u00a0 Please join us in person at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 9449 Ellerbe Road, Shreveport LA\u00a0 71106<\/a>\u00a0if you are able to do so.<\/p>\n Our service will also be livestreamed on Facebook Live here if you cannot attend in person<\/a>.<\/p>\n Although the number of new COVID cases and hospitalizations has increased<\/a> in the Shreveport metro area, we are still safe to have to in-person worship at this time.<\/p>\n We no longer require proof of vaccination against COVID for all attendees ages 11 and up for indoor events.<\/p>\n However, we do strongly encourage that anyone attending our worship services or other indoor events at All Souls be vaccinated against COVID.<\/p>\n We are also required the wearing of masks for all in-person attendees for all indoor events.<\/p>\n Our October 2022 give-away-the-plate recipient is the League of Women Voters of Caddo\/Bossier<\/a>.<\/p>\n And you can contribute to All Souls using this online resource<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Please join us this Sunday (30 October 2022) at 11:00 AM for “Answer in the Form of a Question” featuring special guest Michael Servetus.
