For the month of February 2023, we choose The Whitney Plantation Museum<\/a> (near New Orleans in Wallace, Louisiana<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Whitney Plantation Museum provides a different kind of plantation tour experience — one that tells the truth<\/strong> about the history and legacy of slavery in our nation.<\/p>\n

The museum has suffered during the pandemic and in the most recent hurricanes<\/p>\n

Here’s how to help preserve this vital link to a history we need to know as light and air are vital to healing.<\/p>\n

Two ways to donate:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Online<\/strong> — Go to our donation site using this link<\/a>.\u00a0 If you are paying your pledge, select “2023 Pledges” and enter that amount for your pledge contribution.\u00a0 Then select “Collection Plate” to give the amount you would like to give to the Whitney Plantation Museum and then put “GATP FEB 2023” or “WHITNEY” in the comment section.\u00a0 All online collection plate contributions for the month of February 2023 will go to the Whitney Plantation Museum.<\/p>\n
