Our Discussion of Michelle Alexander’s The New Jim Crow<\/em> continues with Chapter 6\u00a0— “The Fire This Time” — which explores the multi-faceted strategies necessary to begin to address\u00a0the problem\u00a0of mass incarceration.<\/p>\n

This will be our last class meeting for this book. \u00a0After this\u00a0Sunday, the adult religious education\u00a0class will take a break until after the holiday season is over.<\/p>\n

Two books are still available (cost $12.00). \u00a0Also, if you want a book, you may have one. \u00a0Don’t let the cost\u00a0be an obstacle. \u00a0You are welcome to buy or have a book whether or not you come to the class.<\/p>\n

You are welcome to come to the class whether or not you are reading the book.<\/p>\n

We have good discussions that stand on their own, although you will probably get more out of them if you do the reading.<\/p>\n
