{"id":7489,"date":"2018-10-20T12:29:27","date_gmt":"2018-10-20T17:29:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/?p=7489"},"modified":"2018-10-20T12:29:27","modified_gmt":"2018-10-20T17:29:27","slug":"adult-religious-education-21-october-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/2018\/10\/20\/adult-religious-education-21-october-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Adult Religious Education \u2014 21 October 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please join us on Sunday (21 October 2018) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/FaithForward.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7407\" src=\"https:\/\/allsoulsshreveport.org\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/FaithForward.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"147\" \/><\/a>This fall, we&#8217;re excited to introduce <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/faithforwarduu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Faith Forward<\/a> &#8212; a multi-part adult religious education series that will not only introduce visitors and new members to our faith but will also help those who&#8217;ve been here awhile to deepen their faith journeys.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, we continue with Session 6 of UU History 101 &#8212; &#8220;A Question of Calling.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll look at the roles of two figures in our recent history:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uuwr.org\/archives\/memories\/152-lucile-schuck-longview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lucile Schuck Longview<\/a> &#8212; responsible for many of the corrections of sexist language in our principles and hymnals along with other steps forward for feminists in our movement<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/William_G._Sinkford\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rev.
