Ron Thurston — May 2011 Volunteer of the Month

What word describes our Volunteer of the Month for May?  Diamond.  Why?

No diamond can hold a candle to his smile that he shares with everyone from newcomers to the Council to the Saturday work crews to most anyone who has walked onto the grounds of All Souls since 1978.  His service has more facets than most diamonds.  He has served on the Board including the post of President, the Council, Membership chair, taught RE, helped with various fundraisers and special events, substitute sexton, and lent his labors to both the work Saturdays and the Community Garden.  As much as Ron Thurston is here at the church, the Council thought the Volunteer of the Month parking space would come in handy.  Thank you Ron for all that you do!
