Tamila Allen — the August 2012 Volunteer of the Month — has served for many years in Religious Education working with every age groups at one time or another.
In addition to the continuity she has provided the Middle and High School classes this year, she has been instrumental in some special learning experiences such as the Challenge Course morning with John Allen at the Forbing Camp across the street and the planned trip to Robinson Film Center for a viewing of the movie Bully that turned out to be a good bonding experience over dinner at any rate!
Such activities are only possible with the help of other volunteers. Like so many of our Volunteers of the Month, she gives of herself in other ways as well, from being a trained Worship Associate to helping out wherever she has been needed. It is for all these reasons that the Council is proud to name Tamila Allen our August 2012 Volunteer of the Month.
