Adult Religious Education — 14 February 2016

Please join us on Sunday (14 February 2016) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class “Spirit in Practice”

Our next adult class will be adapted from the UUA’s Tapestry of Faith adult curriculum Spirit in Practice by Rev. Erik Walker Wikstrom.  It will also integrate the concepts discussed in the Ken Wilber video.

From the introduction to the curriculum:

Spirit in Practice was created to help Unitarian Universalists develop regular disciplines or practices of the spirit — practices that help them connect with the sacred ground of their being — however they understand it.

Spirit in Practice affirms religious diversity while seeking unity in our communal quest for meaning and wholeness.

Whether participants follow a path they identify as Humanist, Jewish, Christian, Pagan, Theist, Atheist, Agnostic, Mystic, and/or any of the other paths we follow in our diverse congregations, the Spirit in Practice workshops offer a forum for learning, sharing, and growth that can enrich their faith journeys.

Each session of Spirit in Practice will deal with one of the eight spheres of spiritual growth, as shown in the illustration above.
