11 September 2016 Worship Service and Religious Education for Children and Youth

grouphugchalicePlease join us on Sunday (11 September 2016) at 11:00 AM for “Run, Spectate, or Commit” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

In the film City of Joy, Joan, a social worker in a clinic in the slums of Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta), asserts that life really boils down to these three choices.

On this 15th anniversary of an event that calls for our grief and tribute, we look to what is ours to do.

Join us, and stay afterward for a presentation by Stacy Eppers of Volunteers for Youth Justice.  They are in need of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers willing to work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.

Religious education classes for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service — children and youth attend the first 15-20 minutes of the service and then are dismissed to class.
