Our adult religious education class is now a dual-platform class — meeting in person in the church social hall and also on Zoom.
We will be viewing and discussing the video “How Atheists Can Embrace Spiritual Practices” with Britt Hartley (Atheist Spiritual Director).
Because we as Unitarian Universalists are united not by creed but by covenant, our theological spectrum is a wide one including everyone from Universalist Christians to atheists and multitudes in between.
Britt Hartley is an atheist spiritual director who encourages atheists to embrace the possibility of a spiritual life that does not include the supernatural.
She talks about the meaningful spiritual practices in her own life and the importance of preserving the benefits of a spiritual life without the supernatural element.
