Meditation with Larry Androes (25 May 2024)

Please join us on Saturday (25 May 2024) at 10:30 AM for our weekly meditation group with Larry Androes.

This group will be meeting via Zoom and not in person.

This is a sitting Buddhist meditation including a brief introduction to mindfulness meditation, 20 minutes of sitting, and followed by a weekly teaching.

The group is free and open to all.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we have begun to broadcast a livestream video of our Sunday morning worship services.

This worship video will be available live and in recorded formats.

Children and Youth Religious Education (19 May 2024)

For this Sunday (19 May 2024), both classes — grades pre-K through 5 and middle school / high school — will continue their focus on peace, social justice, and the interdependent web as they continue learning about the proposed Unitarian Universalist values on the agenda for General Assembly this summer (thanks to the wonder of JETPIG — justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence, and generosity with love at the center).

Online and In-Person Adult Religious Education (19 May 2024)

Please join us on Sunday (19 May 2024) for our adult religious education class at 9:00 AM.

Our adult religious education class is now a dual-platform class — meeting in person in the church social hall and also on Zoom.

For this Sunday, we will explore “where do we go from here?”

We will  look at several books that various members of the group have recommended and think together about where we want to go next as a group.

Poetry Reading and Book Discussion Event (26 May 2024)

Please join us on Sunday (26 May 2024) at 3:00 PM for a poetry reading and book discussion event sponsored by the Shreveport Chapter of Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East.

This event will be happening in person at All Souls and on Zoom.

We will be reading and discussing Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear by the  Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha.

Join us for readings of poems from this author and other Palestinian poets along with a discussion of the book facilitated by Robert Brown.

If you need a copy of the book, you can pick one up Sunday right after church, or Saturday between noon and 6:00 PM.
