Worship for Sunday, 30 October 2011

Please join us this Sunday at 11:00 AM for the “The Feast of All Souls” — a service in celebration of our Unitarian Universalist heritage and those who have come before us.

At this time of the year, we remember and honor the dead, we pause to pay tribute to those “prophetic men and women” of every age on whose shoulders we stand.

And plan to join us afterward for Trunk or Treat after the 11:00 AM service.

Dress in costume (if you want).  Decorate the trunk of your car so that when church is over, you can just open the trunk, make a few tweaks, and voila!  You’re ready for Trunk-or-Treaters!

What you bring can bring:

  • Candy, homemade treats or small toys to give to the Trunk-or-Treaters,
  • A dish to pass for our Halloween potluck in the Social Hall.

We’ll also have a Pumpkin Carving (BYOP) and other fun pumpkin stuff, along with games for the kids!

Don’t have time or just don’t want to dress up or decorate your car? Don’t have a car?  You can still stay for the potluck and fellowship, and we will not turn down help with set-up, clean-up or games for the kids.

So dress up in your scariest (or your fanciest!), decorate your car, bring some treats for the kids and a dish to pass and we will celebrate Halloween in style!

Next week — 6 November 2011 — Rev. Susan Smith and Robert Smith will conduct the service in celebration of our annual stewardship drive.
