Immediately following the 10:30 AM worship service, please join us in saying “farewell” to Tamila and Sarah Allen.
We are saying entirely too many farewells these days, but (even as we mourn the loss to our community) we congratulate Tamila Allen on a new job opportunity in Dallas and offer her our best wishes as she makes this move. Her youngest daughter Sarah Allen will be going with her.
Tamila has been a member for most of the last 12 years, and a very active participant in many aspects of church life — especially in the Religious Education program (where she has taught every class numerous times and where her children — Megan, Katie and Sarah — have all participated).
Most recently, she and John Ratcliff spent the entire year in the Middle School/High School class (for which they, their parents and all of us are very thankful). She has also served on and chaired the Religious Education Committee.
Sarah has lent her hand and voice to many volunteer efforts at the church and to a number of multi-generational services (including the one this Sunday morning).
We will miss them both terribly, so bring some snacks to share and let’s give Tamila a proper sendoff.
