30 October 2016 Worship Service and Religious Education for Children and Youth

Please join us on Sunday (30 October 2016) at 11:00 AM for “Companions for the Journey” with John Allen, Jocelyn Lanham, and Tyrus Mulkey.

Three of our members share the spiritual journeys that have brought them to All Souls, and the reasons they have stayed.

Come and hear the varied and compelling stories of John Allen, Jocelyn Lanham, and Tyrus Mulkey — get to know three of your fellow congregants just a little better.

Religious education classes for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service — children and youth attend the first 15-20 minutes of the service and then are dismissed to class.

No Adult Religious Education Classes This Sunday (30 October 2016)

Barbara and Susan are both out of town this week so the adult religious education class will take a break this week.

This class will return next week at the regular time (9:15 AM) with a focus on some aspect of our Jewish and Christian heritage.

23 October 2016 All-Ages Worship Service

Please join us on Sunday (23 October 2016) at 11:00 AM for “Love is the Doctrine of This Church — A Service in Celebration of our Unitarian Universalist History and Identity” presented by the children, youth, and adults of All Souls.

Taking the first three lines of the Unison Affirmation as our theme, we celebrate our loving and inclusive message, our free and responsible search for truth, and our dedication to “walking our talk” in service and activism, throughout history and in the present day.

“Broadening Our Unitarian Universalist Understanding,
Deepening Our Journey”

For newcomers and seasoned members alike, this class that offers an exploration of the history and heritage of our living tradition as well as an opportunity to explore our personal spiritual journeys in the context of loving, covenanted community.

16 October 2016 Worship Service and Religious Education for Children and Youth

Please join on Sunday (16 October 2016) at 11:00 AM for “Return to Open” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

At the time of year that our Jewish friends have observed Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) we explore the idea of asking forgiveness and letting go of what does not serve.

A Burning Bowl ceremony will follow the service.
