Saturday Packing Days Every Week Thru 18 July 2026

In preparation for our move out of our current building, we will have Saturday packing days every week from 27 June 2026 to 18 July 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Moving day is approaching — and we while we made decent progress in one classroom last week — we need to be doing the keep-donate-toss routine with lots of our stuff.

In other moving news . . .

If all goes well, our plan is to have a celebratory service similar to Artist Sunday at 11:00 AM on Sunday, 12 July 2026.  The theme will be “Celebrate Moving On.”

On the following Sunday (19 July 2026), our service will be more attuned to the grieving that many of us will need to do.  Remember that each of us will be processing this differently in different ways at different times.

Let’s remember to be kind and continue to care for each other in the way you always have.

From 26 July 2026 until we find our new church home, we will be worshiping at The Highland Center (520 Olive Street, Shreveport LA  71104).

We will be meeting in The Highland Center’s conference room (which you reach by the ramp entrance in the back on the Topeka Street side).

Our speaker that day will be Melissa Gibson speaking on her trip to Palestine.

All Ages Worship (21 June 2026)

Please join us this Sunday (21 June 2026) at 10:00 AM for a Sunday potluck brunch and viewing of the Sunday worship service at this year’s Unitarian Universalist Association General Assembly.

Please note that this is different from our usual 11:00 AM worship time and we will also be meeting in the church social hall for the brunch / worship service.

The General Assembly worship service starts at 10:00 AM but the doors will be open at 9:30 AM.

This brunch / worship service is an all-ages event.  In addition to the brunch, we will also have an all-ages craft activity for anyone who wants to participate.

If you cannot make it to the in-person brunch / worship service, here is the link for the streaming video and the order of service.

State-level COVID data can be found on the Louisiana Department of Health’s respiratory virus dashboard web page.  The most sensitive metric to follow for current COVID trends is the “Laboratory Surveillance Data” link.

Flu, RSV, and COVID are all showing low numbers in Louisiana as of 13 June 2026.

Masking and COVID vaccination are optional for attending in-person events at All Souls.

We encourage you to be vaccinated against COVID and to also have the most-current COVID booster shots.  This provides greater protection to the individual and the church community.

Anyone who prefers wearing a mask is welcome to do so for in-person events and attending worship through livestream video is also an option where required for medical or schedule conflict reasons.

We will still have KN95 masks available in the foyer for anyone who needs one.

We continue to recommend that you stay home if you have any symptoms and that you keep up with all available vaccinations and boosters.

If you are recovering from COVID and have no symptoms, you should mask in public until you have tested negative twice in a 48 hour period.

We also ask that you go by the previous CDC guidelines of waiting at least 5 days past the onset of symptoms rather than the current 24 hour recommendation.

If you have symptoms for COVID or other respiratory illness, please stay home and take care of yourself.

Our June 2026 give-away-the-plate recipient is North Louisiana Interfaith.

And you can contribute to All Souls using this online resource.
