31 December 2017 Worship Service and Religious Education for Children and Youth

Please join us on Sunday (31 December 2017) at 11:00 AM for “Endings and Beginnings:  The Blessing and the Curse” by  Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

Also this will be our “Give Away the Plate Sunday” and our offering will go to the Volunteers for Youth Justice School Uniform Drive.

Children and youth attend the first 15-20 minutes of the service and then are dismissed to class.

Instead of our usual religious education classes for children and youth, we will have a holiday-themed movie day for a fun and relaxing break from class activities.

Adult Religious Education — 17 December 2017

Please join us on Sunday (17 December 2017) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class.

Our session next Sunday is adapted from Understanding The Bible: An Introduction for Skeptics, Seekers, and Religious Liberals (based on a book of the same name by former UUA President John Buehrens).

This week we continue our exploration of passages from the Christian Testament looking at the remaining “troublesome words” as listed by the class in our first Sunday of this pillar.
