The 39th Annual Holocaust Remembrance Service of Northwest Louisiana will happen on Sunday (1 May 2022) from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. This service will also be livestreamed on the Broadmoor UMC web site.
This service is a multifaith service in remembrance of the Holocaust in honor and memory of those who died and those who saved lives.
It will feature the winning entries of the High School and Middle School essay contests along with the High School Poetry, Prose, Art, and Music Composition contests.
Our own Rev. Barbara Jarrell will light the candle in honor of the LGBTQ victims of the Holocaust and the candle in honor of Rev. Waitstill and Martha Sharp (who were recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations for their Unitarian Service Committee work saving hundreds of Jews and others from the Nazis).
