Please join us on Friday (14 June 2024) at 6:00 PM for a screening of the documentary film The Holy Land Five (a film by Mohammad Omar).
We will be screening this film in the church social hall.
This film is a documentary exploring the arrest, trial, and subsequent sentencing of five leaders of the Holy Land Foundation (the largest Muslim charity in the US until after 9/11 when it was shut down, assets seized, and leaders arrested by the FBI).
The film features interviews with defense and prosecution attorneys, witnesses, and family members as well as courtroom recreations looking back at the case.
We will have a discussion afterward.
This event is sponsored by the Shreveport chapter of Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East.

The All Souls Peace Alliance is exploring veganism as a spiritual practice.
All are welcome.
You do not have to be a vegan or vegetarian. This is a non-judgmental group exploring together avenues for peace in our world.
The All Souls Peace Alliance is a part of the Interfaith Vegan Coalition and the All Souls Peace Alliance is guided by our Unitarian Universalist principles and the sources of our living tradition.

On 2 June 2024 after our 11:00 AM worship service, the All Souls Peace Alliance (a group exploring veganism as a spiritual practice) will be hosting a vegan potluck.

You may also be able to adapt some of your favorite recipes by using plant-based substitutes for meat, milk, eggs, various cheeses, or other animal-derived ingredients.
A wide variety of plant-based products are now available at your nearest grocery store.

This event will be happening in person at All Souls and on Zoom.
We will be reading and discussing Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear by the Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha.
Join us for readings of poems from this author and other Palestinian poets along with a discussion of the book facilitated by Robert Brown.

We will have our spring congregational meeting on Sunday (19 May 2024) immediately following the 11:00 AM worship service.
We will be meeting in the sanctuary and via Zoom.
Our agenda for this meeting is the election of the 2024-2025 All Souls board members.
Our monthly building and grounds work day is happening on Saturday (11 May 2024) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This monthly work day usually happens on the second Saturday of each month with the occasional rare exception.
With the exception of some basic cleaning and yard work, all the work of maintaining our physical home is done by us — the members and friends of All Souls.
