Online All-Ages Worship (28 February 2021)

Please join us on Sunday (21 February 2021) at 11:00 AM for “Can We Talk?” by Wealthia Jackson.

Our service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live here.

We are honored and delighted to welcome All Souls member Wealthia Jackson to our virtual pulpit.

Using her own recent research within a local group that meets to discuss race relations in Shreveport as well as some guiding principles from the book Talking Across the Divide by Justin Lee, Wealthia will explore some ways we might begin difficult conversations with the people in our lives who do not share our views.

We will have a  virtual coffee hour after the service on Zoom.

While we are remaining physically distant, we want to know how you are doing, what you need, and what you are interested in.  You can let us know using these online surveys.

And you can contribute to All Souls using this online resource.

Online Adult Religious Education — 28 February 2021

Please join us on Sunday (28 February 2021) at 9:00 AM for our adult religious education class via Zoom.

World Religions and Rituals of Mourning and Loss — The late Rev. Forrest Church said “Religion is the human response to being alive and having to die.”

Our President has shown a keen understanding — born of hard experience — that humans need to set aside time and space to remember those who have died and to mourn that loss.

This is particularly important in a time when we have lost so many and lost so much of the life we once knew.

This morning we will take some time to explore that need and the way it is expressed throughout different religions and cultures around the world.
