Online All-Ages Worship (2 August 2020)

Please join us on Sunday (2 August 2020) at 11:00 AM for “Committed and Connected” with Eleanora Lawrence and Gretchen Upton.

This week — when we remember the life and legacy of the late John Lewis — we are joined by two of our youth who are both activists and leaders — who will speak about the ways we stay engaged and committed to the work, and the importance of working in community.

Our service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live here.

We will have a  virtual coffee hour after the service on Zoom.

While we are remaining physically distant, we want to know how you are doing, what you need, and what you are interested in.  You can let us know using these online surveys.

And you can contribute to All Souls using this online resource.

Online Religious Education for Children and Youth On Vacation — Resumes 16 August 2020

Religious education for children and youth is taking a break for a few weeks and will return on Zoom (with a surprise) on 16 August 2020.

Meanwhile, we will still post ideas and projects for you to do at home and stay in touch via the All Souls Religious Education Group on Facebook.

Parents — email Susan Caldwell if you are not a member of the religious education group on Facebook.

Online Adult Religious Education — 2 August 2020

Please join us on Sunday (2 August 2020) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class via Zoom.

We have just finished the Faith Forward series on Spiritual Practice.

We’ll use this piece by Thich Nhat Hanh to reflect on how our spiritual practice might change us, and how that in turn might be a step toward changing the world.

And the class will not meet next Sunday (9 August 2020) but will resume on 16 August 2020.

Zoom Lunch (5 August 2020)

Please join us next Wednesday (5 August 2020) at 12 noon for our weekly Zoom lunch.

Bring your lunch and meet up with your All Souls friends, have lunch, and just catch up.

This a chance to connect and catch up midweek.

At some point we may decide to bring in speakers but for now we’re just hanging out and enjoying each other’s virtual company.

Hope to see you there!

Online All-Ages Worship (26 July 2020)

Please join us on Sunday (26 July 2020) at 11:00 AM for “A Living Tradition?” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

It’s a living tradition only if we keep living into it!

Our service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live here.

This service will also feature the music of Michael Futreal and Twang Darkly.

We will have a  virtual coffee hour after the service on Zoom.

While we are remaining physically distant, we want to know how you are doing, what you need, and what you are interested in.  You can let us know using these online surveys.

We can still use your art work illustrating our principles and sources.

You can post it on the All Souls Religious Education page on Facebook or email it to Susan Caldwell.

We can use more illustrations of the third and fourth principles and — of course — the eighth principle too:

  • How people act when they support each other and learn together
  • How people act when they are free to search for truth in their own lives?
  • How people act when they are working to dismantle racism and create beloved community?

Online Adult Religious Education — 26 July 2020

Please join us on Sunday (26 July 2020) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class via Zoom.

We will be continuing Faith Forward:  Spiritual Practice with “Life as Spiritual Practice.”

In the last session of this series, we will explore the idea of pilgrimage as a spiritual journey to a sacred place, as practiced in other faiths and our own.

We’ll think about where we might want to make a pilgrimage of our own some day — whether near or far — or share experiences of pilgrimages we may have already made.

As we wrap up the series, we’ll also examine the idea of living a life of intentionality, and the ways in which our faith calls us to do that.

Zoom Lunch (29 July 2020)

Please join us next Wednesday (29 July 2020) at 12 noon for our weekly Zoom lunch.

Bring your lunch and meet up with your All Souls friends, have lunch, and just catch up.

This a chance to connect and catch up midweek.

At some point we may decide to bring in speakers but for now we’re just hanging out and enjoying each other’s virtual company.
