Online and In-Person Adult Religious Education (14 July 2024)

Please join us on Sunday (14 July 2024) for our adult religious education class at 9:00 AM.

Our adult religious education class is now a dual-platform class — meeting in person in the church social hall and also on Zoom.

We will present an overview of the Heritage Foundation’s “Project 2025” plan for the future of the U.S. under a “conservative administration beginning in 2025” along with some policy details.

This is the plan that a Heritage Foundation’s Kevin Roberts has called a “new American Revolution” and he says it “will remain bloodless if the left will allow it.”

Artist Sunday Coming Soon (28 July 2024)

The 2024 Artist Sunday worship service will be happening on Sunday (28 July 2024) at 11:00 AM.

This event is an annual tradition at All Souls — a worship experience for all ages in celebration of the arts and the artists.

Every element of the service is an artistic performance.

Previous services have included not only prose, poetry, and storytelling, but vocal and instrumental music as well as magic, acrobats, belly dancers and jugglers.

We will also host a visual art show and sale in the religious education wing of our building.

There is no booth fee and artists who sell their work may keep their proceeds.

North Louisiana Interfaith Welcome Luncheon (1 August 2024)

Please join All Souls and other member organizations of North Louisiana Interfaith at the North Louisiana Interfaith Welcome Luncheon:

North Louisiana Interfaith is currently in the process of recruiting new institutions and seeking a recommitment from current member institutions.

Please join us for this celebratory luncheon at which members will confirm our commitments and receive materials for our Pledge to Vote campaign for the election season (here is a link for the Pledge to Vote campaign for the Spring 2024 elections).

Pledge to Vote is a voter turnout strategy that has proven highly effective at improving the engagement of “casual” voters through a sense of healthy competition among enrolled institutions.

It is not about how you vote — North Louisiana Interfaith is non-partisan — but that you vote and encourage friends (particularly in low turnout areas) to do so as well.

Zoom (and In-Person) Lunch on Wednesday (17 July 2024)

Please join us next Wednesday (17 July 2024) at 12 noon for our weekly Zoom lunch.

Our weekly Zoom lunch is returning to dual-platform access — join us from home using Zoom or in person in the social hall.

Bring your lunch and meet up with your All Souls friends, have lunch, and just catch up.

Monthly Building and Grounds Work Day (13 July 2024)

Our monthly building and ground work day has moved to the summer schedule — Saturday, 13 July 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

With warmer summer weather, our monthly building and grounds work day will be changing to an earlier schedule (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) in hopes of avoiding the heat.

Other than basic mowing and indoor cleaning, most of the work to maintain our physical space is done by the members and friends of All Souls.

We have tasks indoors and out for all ages and ability levels and there is a high probability of snacks.

Meditation with Larry Androes (13 July 2024)

Please join us on Saturday (13 July 2024) at 10:30 AM for our weekly meditation group with Larry Androes.

This group will be meeting via Zoom and not in person.

This is a sitting Buddhist meditation including a brief introduction to mindfulness meditation, 20 minutes of sitting, and followed by a weekly teaching.

The group is free and open to all.
