For July 2010, Eric First is our Volunteer of the Month.
Eric has shared his talents and energies in many ways at All Souls. He has given his culinary gifts to us at various church potlucks and the Silent Auction. Eric has also pitched in to help at Building and Grounds Work Days. He has volunteered to work in the Nursery and has also stepped up to fill a vacancy on the Visioning Team.
For this month, the All Souls Program Council has selected Kathy Osuch as our Volunteer of the Month.
Kathy was a driving force for our recent plan sale. Her past efforts are too numerous to name but include serving on the All Souls Board (Secretary, Treasurer, and At-Large Member).
Kathy has taught Religious Education at various ages and she also is a trained facilitator for the Our Whole Lives (OWL) for Grades 7-9 Sexuality Education Program. She has taught the year-long OWL 7-9 program three different times for our youth and their families.
We want to thank Kathy for everything she has done for All Souls.
The Green Sanctuary Action Plan for All Souls is online here.
The Green Sanctuary Program, originally nurtured and managed by the Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth, was designed to give roots and wings to the vision that, together, we can create a world in which all people make reverence, gratitude, and care for the living Earth that is central to our lives.
Voluntary participation in the Green Sanctuary Program provides a framework for congregations and congregants to proclaim and live out their commitment to the Earth.
If you missed the 28 March 2010 Welcoming Congregation Informational Meeting presented by Clay Walker and Amanda Lawrence, you can view their slide presentation and read their handout (these documents require Adobe Acrobat Reader or other compatible PDF software to view them).
Additional information on the Welcoming Congregation Program can be found on the Unitarian Universalist Association web site.
For April 2010, the All Souls Program Council has chosen Stanton Dossett as our April 2010 Volunteer of the Month for all that he has done as our Building and Grounds Liaison to the Board. Stanton’s excellent work has improved drainage around the church building and eliminated the recurring flooding problem.
For March 2010, the All Souls Program Council has selected one of our hardest-working and most-dedicated members — Ron Thurston.

All Souls is glad to recognize Tony and Mark for everything that they do for us.
Tony and Mark have been active with our congregational gardening days – especially so during our big planting day last spring.
Both Tony and Mark volunteered to help with last Fall’s Silent Auction and they often serve as ushers/greeters during our worship services.
Tony is a regular volunteer on our Sunday worship sound technician team as well.
