Next Sunday (28 October 2012) — Rev. Susan Smith and Robert Smith will be with us to kick off the 2013 Stewardship Campaign.  We will have a Potluck and Trunk or Treat after the 28 October 2012 service.

14 October 2012 Worship Service

Please join us on Sunday, 14 October 2012, at 11:00 AM for “Behaving, Believing, Belonging:  Growing a UU Identity at Any Age” — Community Worship by the Children, Youth and Adults of All Souls.

Taking our title from a book reflecting on the future of the Christian church, and a recent article by UU minister Rev. Stefan Jonasson on what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist, we will explore these ideas in words spoken, prayed and sung.

This worship service features contributions of our Religious Education classes and music from the All Souls Choir.

Building and Grounds Work Day

Building and Grounds Work Day — From 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM — Saturday, 13 October 2012.

Tasks for all ages and abilities, inside and out, for a half hour or the whole time — whatever you can do, even if it’s just to drop off some snacks for the workers, your contribution will be much appreciated as we work together to take care of our church home!

And you can go straight from church to catch the last hour of the New Member Picnic.

7 October 2012 Worship Service

Please join us on Sunday (7 October 2012) at 11:00 AM for “Discovering A World” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell with Special Guests Safa Michigan and Dr. Sunny Hussein.  The service will also have music from the All Souls Choir.

After the service, we will have a Newcomer Information Session.  Anyone interested in learning more about our faith tradition and our congregation is welcome to join us.

30 September 2012 Worship Service

Please join us this Sunday (30 September 2012) at 11:00 AM for the sermon “Elevated View of the Elephant” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

After the worship service, we will have a Town Hall Meeting and Potluck Lunch. This Town Hall Meeting will be the first of many opportunities for Exploratory Committee to report their findings to the congregation. The Exploratory Committee is a ten person committee appointed by the All Souls Board to explore the options for the geographical future of our congregation.

This is our quarterly series featuring members who tell us about the journeys that brought them to All Souls and the reasons they stay.

On the following Sunday (30 September 2012), Rev. Barbara Jarrell will be in the pulpit.

30 September 2012 Town Hall Meeting

On Sunday (30 September 2012) immediately following the 11:00 AM worship service, the Exploratory Committee will present the first in a series of town hall meetings.

This committee appointed by the All Souls Board to explore the options for the geographical future of our congregation will host the first of a series of informational Town Hall Meetings to report on its findings so far.

Lady Carlson and Rev. Barbara Jarrell -- Presentation of 2012 Emerson AwardPlease join us on Sunday (16 September 2012) at 11:00 AM to hear Lady Carlson.  She is the Organizer for Northern and Central Louisiana Interfaith and Recipient of the 2012 Emerson Award.

Lady will be here to remind us that the history makers are among us.

Join us for this inspiring service and stay after the service for a House Meeting around issues we wish to bring to Interfaith.

Interfaith is an organization of institutions working together on community issues that affect us all and that come up from the institutions themselves.
