Easter Sunday Plant Sale (1 April 2018)

Please join us on Easter Sunday (1 April 2018) starting at 10:00 AM before the service and continuing after the service until 2:00 PM for our plant sale.

Easter is early this year so take this opportunity to stock up on your plants for spring.

We will have ground covers, perennials, annuals, herbs, and house plants.

We will need help with setup, cleanup, and working the sale itself.

If you can help or if you have any other questions, call Cindy Mandarino at (504) 376-4765.

Sunday Easter Egg Hunt (1 April 2018)

On this Easter Sunday (1 April 2018) immediately after our 11:00 AM worship service, we will have an Easter Egg hunt.

Right now, the Easter Bunny is slightly panicked that the Easter eggs have been slow in showing up.

Parents and all others who can help should bring 12 filled plastic Easter eggs by the church office — preferably no later than Saturday (31 March 2018).

If the eggs are in a plastic bag or other container, they should be safe from the elements if you leave them by the office door.  Thanks for your help with this.

You can fill the eggs with candy, small toys, stickers, that wonderful egg-shaped sidewalk chalk, or something else fun and safe that we haven’t thought of yet.

Please label your eggs as safe or not safe for children under  age 3.

Not recommended for toddlers are:  gum, hard or extremely chewy candy, any candy with nuts, or any tiny toys or toys with small parts that could be choking hazards.

The egg hunt is for children in Nursery through 5th grade classes.

Classes are separated into different areas of the grounds for their age-appropriate egg hunting.

Thanks for your help.

ReZist! — Roy Zimmerman Returns to All Souls (25 March 2018)

Please join us on Sunday (25 March 2018) at 7:00 PM for ReZist! — a Roy Zimmerman concert.

The cost is $20.00 at the door or pay what you can.

ReZist is 90 minutes of Roy’s original songs — a funny and forceful affirmation of peace and justice.

“Sometimes I think satire is the most hopeful and heartfelt form of expression,” says Roy, “because in calling out the world’s absurdities and laughing in their face, I’m affirming the possibility for real change.”

Find out more about Roy and see videos of his performances here.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship Service (24 December 2017)

Please join us at 6:00 PM on Sunday (24 December 2017) for our annual candlelight Christmas Eve worship service (please note the time change from previous years).

Rev. Barabara Jarrell with the All Souls Choir and guest musicians (Sally Hundemer, Elaine Webb, Tom Hundemer, and Deborah Scarlato) will be there as we celebrate the holiday season.

Join us for a reading of the Christmas story from the Book of Luke in the Christian Testament with special music from the All Souls choir and our guest quartet along with carol singing by candlelight.

Parents — please bring your children by 5:45 PM so they can participate in “The 12 Days of Christmas” before the service.

After the service, join us in the social hall for a brief time of fellowship, and consider taking a “Helping the Helpers” tray to people who are working Christmas Eve.

A congregational meeting will immediately follow the service.
