The adult religious education class is taking a break for the Memorial Day holiday weekend — we will not have this class this Sunday (26 May 2024).
Join us next Sunday (2 June 2024) at 9:00 AM in the social or via Zoom.
All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Shreveport, Louisiana
A home for Unitarian Universalism and liberal religion in Shreveport, Bossier City, and Northwest Louisiana since 1950
Please join us on Saturday (25 May 2024) at 10:30 AM for our weekly meditation group with Larry Androes.
This group will be meeting via Zoom and not in person.
This is a sitting Buddhist meditation including a brief introduction to mindfulness meditation, 20 minutes of sitting, and followed by a weekly teaching.
The group is free and open to all.
For this Sunday (19 May 2024), both classes — grades pre-K through 5 and middle school / high school — will continue their focus on peace, social justice, and the interdependent web as they continue learning about the proposed Unitarian Universalist values on the agenda for General Assembly this summer (thanks to the wonder of JETPIG — justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence, and generosity with love at the center).
Please join us on Sunday (19 May 2024) for our adult religious education class at 9:00 AM.
Our adult religious education class is now a dual-platform class — meeting in person in the church social hall and also on Zoom.
For this Sunday, we will explore “where do we go from here?”
We will look at several books that various members of the group have recommended and think together about where we want to go next as a group.
