This is a 2018 documentary exploring the life of Peter Kalmus PhD — climate scientist, father of two, and Zen Buddhist — on the personal changes he and his family have made in the ongoing struggle against climate change.

The Wisdom of the World’s Religions — Cao Dai with guest presenter Ngasha Beck Huy.
Held over from last week, we are pleased to welcome Ngasha Beck Huy who will speak to us about Cao Dai (a monotheistic faith established in Southern Viet Nam in 1925).

This is a special service featuring songs of social justice and calls to action on many fronts featuring guest musicians Bob Jordan and Loren and Gus Demerath.

Numbering right around seven million members around the world, the Baha’i faith is not the largest in numbers, and yet it is the second most geographically widespread religion. Only Christianity has spread further, and it is 300 times larger. How has this faith found a home with so many different people in so many places? Join us to learn more.

Whether you are brand new to Unitarian Universalism, or not so new but wanting a refresher or to fill in some gaps, this is a great class for you. It covers the history and theology of our faith tradition and congregation, and lets you explore how all of that fits with your theology and personal perspective.

This week, “Taoism: The Origins of ‘Go with the Flow.'”
From the Tao Te Ching: “Whatever is flexible and flowing will tend to grow, whatever is rigid and blocked will wither and die.” This morning we’ll take a look at one of the oldest religions, and one that influences many practitioners of other religions including Unitarian Universalism, and no religion as well.
Note: because of the Art Market event, we will meet this week in the Middle/High School Room.
