12 August 2018 Artist Sunday Worship Service (Worship for All Ages)

Please join us on Sunday (12 August 2018) at 11:00 AM for our annual Artist Sunday celebration of the arts.  In addition to our Sunday worship, we will also have a visual arts show and sale starting at 10:00 AM.

Our annual celebration in honor of the arts and artists — featuring a visual art show and sale beginning at 10:00 AM in the Religious Education wing, and a worship service at 11:00 AM where every element is a form of artistic performance — vocal or instrumental music, poetry and prose, dramatic readings, and perhaps some surprises.

The children and youth will be with us in the sanctuary for this service — nursery care will still be provided for the younger children who cannot stay in this service.

Please join us on Sunday (5 August 2018) at 11:00 AM f0r “When Love is Not the Easy Choice” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

Summer fun activities for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service.

Don’t forget that the following Sunday (12 August 2018) is Artist Sunday — a multi-generational celebration of the performing and visual arts.

Every element of the worship service is some form of performing art — poetry, dance, vocal or instrumental music, drama, juggling, kung fu, you name it.

We have a visual art show and sale in the religious education wing on Artist Sunday.

29 July 2018 Worship Service and Summer Fun for Children and Youth

Please join us on Sunday (29 July 2018) at 11:00 AM for “Independent Variables” by Amanda Lawrence (All Souls member and Caddo Magnet chemistry teacher).

For the month of July 2018 , we have chosen RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services).

We are breaking with our usual custom of choosing a local non-profit due to the RAICES campaign to reunite the families separated at the border and their offer of a bond check of $20 million to release all the mothers of the 2500 immigrant children who were separated from their parents.

Founded in 1986, RAICES provides free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas.

Summer fun activities for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service.  This week’s summer fun is water balloon painting with Leigh Anne and Joshua Chambers.
