Artist Sunday 2025 Setup and Signup Information
Along with the performing arts shared at this Sunday’s Artist Sunday worship service (10 August 2025 at 11:00 AM), we will also be hosting a visual art show and art sale in the religious education wing.
Painters, photographers, film makers, sculptors, caricaturists, fabric artists, jewelry makers, bakers, candle makers, and other creative types — it’s not too late to hang a painting or reserve a table.

All art work that will be hung in the religious education wing should be brought to church between 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM on Saturday (9 August 2025).
For artists setting up tables, the building will open at 9:00 AM on Sunday (10 August 2025). Please arrive early enough so your table set up by 10:30 AM.
Monthly Building and Grounds Work Day (Saturday, 9 August 2025)
Our monthly building and grounds work day happens on the second Saturday on the month.
For August 2025, the work day will happen on Saturday (9 August 2025) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
There are tasks indoors and out for all ages and abilities along with snacks for the volunteers.
Artist Sunday (10 August 2025)
Our annual Artist Sunday worship service will be happening on Sunday (10 August 2025) at 11:00 AM — a beloved All Souls tradition returns.
At this worship service, every element of the service is some form of performing art — singing, dancing, instrumental music, or some other kind of performance.
Past celebrations have included magicians, belly dancers, contortionists, martial arts demonstrations, and multiple variations on performance art.
We will also feature an art show and sale in the Religious Education wing.

Water Communion (31 August 2025)
On Sunday (31 August 2025) at 11:00 AM, we will have our annual water communion worship service.
Every year at the end of summer, we will come together once again to mingle the stories of our summer along with the actual and symbolic water that represents those stories.
The combined waters are never for drinking, but we will boil, filter, and freeze it to save for child dedications and other important rituals of church life.
Bring your water and your story and join us.
All-Ages Swim Party (31 August 2025)
Our annual end-of-summer swim party will be happening on Sunday (31 August 2025) after the annual water communion worship service from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the home of Kathy Osuch and Mike Roberts.
We’re grateful to Kathy and Mike for opening their pool and backyard to us for our annual end-of-summer Swim Party and Potluck.
The address will be furnished at the church closer to the time of the event and will also be made available on the All Souls Caring Connection Facebook Group for members and friends.
Pizza or Jason’s Deli sandwiches will be provided — please feel free to bring and share sides, desserts, and beverages.

Light from Deep Under — Nida Abu Baker Returns to All Souls (27 July 2025)
Please join us next Sunday (27 July 2025) at 11:00 AM as we welcome Nida Abu Baker back to our pulpit (in person and in streaming video).
Nida is the daughter of Shukri Abu Baker (a member of the Holy Land Five still serving out a 65-year sentence for establishing the Holy Land Foundation charity that provided food, medicine, and educational supplies to Palestinian children and families).
Shukri Abu Baker and his charity founder partners were charged with “providing material support to Hamas.”
During his incarceration, Shukri has continued to write poetry and to draw, a testament to his relentless spirit. Nida will give us an update on how he is doing and read to us from his new book — Light from Deep Under.
We will also have an informal gathering after the service in the social hall where our members and friends in attendance will have a chance to talk with Nida and ask questions.
