Online Adult Religious Education — 26 July 2020

Please join us on Sunday (26 July 2020) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class via Zoom.

We will be continuing Faith Forward:  Spiritual Practice with “Life as Spiritual Practice.”

In the last session of this series, we will explore the idea of pilgrimage as a spiritual journey to a sacred place, as practiced in other faiths and our own.

We’ll think about where we might want to make a pilgrimage of our own some day — whether near or far — or share experiences of pilgrimages we may have already made.

As we wrap up the series, we’ll also examine the idea of living a life of intentionality, and the ways in which our faith calls us to do that.

  • How people act when they are working to dismantle racism and create beloved community?

Online Adult Religious Education — 19 July 2020

Please join us on Sunday (19 July 2020) at 9:15 AM for our adult religious education class via Zoom.

We will be continuing Faith Forward:  Spiritual Practice with “Retreat.”

Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares that will not withdraw from us. – Maya Angelou

To go on retreat is to intentionally withdraw from daily life and its obligations.  It is a chance to center ourselves and examine our lives with greater clarity.  A retreat can be far away, close to home, or even at home.

In this session we will explore the importance of retreat, talk about retreat experiences we have had in the past, and make a plan for retreats of our own.
