2 June 2019 Worship Service and Summer Fun for Children and Youth

Please join us on Sunday (2 June 2019) at 11:00 AM for “Ain’t Got No Home” by Earlene Venable with Barbara Deger (Worship Associate).

All Souls member Earlene Venable will speak on a topic near and dear to her heart — homelessness — as a local and global issue.

Reflecting on her own work with Holy Cross Hope House and the St. Luke’s Mobile Medical Ministry, she will share her own perspectives on the issue and ideas for solutions based on her personal experience.

Our summer fun activity for children and youth this Sunday will be Tie-Dye Sunday.  Our children and youth will be tie-dyeing in the religious education wing.

Please join us on Sunday (26 May 2019) at 11:00 AM for “I Will Build This World from Love” by Rabbi Dr. Jana L. De Benedetti.

Please join us to welcome Rabbi Jana back to our sanctuary.  You will be uplifted and inspired, you will sing in Hebrew, you will learn how each of us is a part of building this world from love.

Rabbi Jana is the spiritual leader of B’nai Zion Congregation, Shreveport.

Religious education classes for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service.  Children and youth attend the first 15-20 minutes of the service and then are dismissed to class.

Please join us on Sunday (19 May 2019) at 11:00 AM for “Companions for the Journey” with Marla Moore, Eric First, and Barbara Jarrell.

This morning, two of our members and our minister share with us their own beliefs and perspectives on the journey so far — as individuals and as part of this faith community.

Religious education classes for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service.  Children and youth attend the first 15-20 minutes of the service and then are dismissed to class.

Our spring congregational meeting will follow the service.

Please join us on Sunday (12 May 2019) at 11:00 AM for “Circle of Mercy to Mother the World” by Rev. Barbara Jarrell.

Rev. Jarrell is in the pulpit this Mother’s Day as we look to the many ways people care for others, for peace, and for the planet in mothering ways.

A new member ingathering will be a part of this service — we hope that you will be with us to get to know our new members and welcome them to All Souls.

Please join us on Sunday (21 April 2019) at 11:00 AM for “Given-ness:  A Celebration of Easter, Passover, and the New Life of Spring.

Our celebration of new life at this time of year includes an optional communion at the end of the service that requires no specific belief but is centered around the community and coming together that is at the root of the word.

An Easter egg hunt for nursery toddlers through 5th grade will follow the service.
