Please join us on Sunday (29 July 2018) at 11:00 AM for “Independent Variables” by Amanda Lawrence (All Souls member and Caddo Magnet chemistry teacher).
For the month of July 2018 , we have chosen RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services).
We are breaking with our usual custom of choosing a local non-profit due to the RAICES campaign to reunite the families separated at the border and their offer of a bond check of $20 million to release all the mothers of the 2500 immigrant children who were separated from their parents.
Founded in 1986, RAICES provides free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas.
Summer fun activities for children and youth are offered during the 11:00 AM service. This week’s summer fun is water balloon painting with Leigh Anne and Joshua Chambers.
“Imagine That: Creative Independence and Connection” by Loretta Casteen
“Keeping Your Head in the Age of Twitter: Not Being Hijacked by Hashtags” by Claudia Harris
“The Day Will Come When the Church Will Break Your Heart — A Joyful Message (No, really … )” by Susan Caldwell
Please join us for worship on Sunday (22 July 2018) at 11:00 AM. Shreveport poet and author Loretta Casteen is in the pulpit this morning
